King’s Cross Church is excited to partner with San Diego Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) to host a summer sports camp for kids!

What’s the sports camp all about?

King’s Cross Church Summer Sports Camp is designed for young athletes, ages 5 to 12, who are eager to develop their athletic skills, strengthen their minds, and grow in their faith in Jesus. This camp provides excellent instruction and competition through a sports-specific focus.

When is it?

  • When: June 9-13, 2025

  • Time: 8am – 12pm, daily. This is a half day camp

Our Sports Camp will take place at two locations right next to each other; Pacific Beach Middle School and the Pacific Beach Recreation Center. PB Middle School will be our main hangout for drop-off, pick-up, lunch, and other activities. Both places will be used for sports and games throughout the day. We’re excited to have lots of space to play and can’t wait for a great week together!

  • Ages: 5-12 years old

Sports Offered?

A different sport each day – Flag Football, Pickleball, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball (TBD).

Cost?

Volunteer

Interested in serving in a volunteer role at the sports camp? We would love your help as a parent, or coach, or support staff. Email us if interested.

  • Check-in helper

  • Snack helper - Help hand out snacks after first sport practice

  • High School Volunteer - You help kids have a great time at camp by guiding and directing them during sports practice and huddle time. There will be 2 high school helpers per 8-10 campers. This is a special team of high school volunteers who get to hang with kids and make new friends! 

  • Coach (Assistant) - We are looking for more assistant coaches to help with each sport, for any day of camp

  • Camp Photography or Videography 

  • Nurse 

  • Lunch Delivery (Friday only or Week Day)

  • We do not serve lunch during camp. We provide snacks during mid-morning break. Please make sure campers eat breakfast and if your child has specific allergy or food requirements, feel free to pack a snack.

  • Drop off is between 8am-8:15am. Please park in the school lot or use street parking. We will have volunteers helping campers get checked in and to the field.

  • Campers will start each day on the turf field, playing with their group. Once camp starts, we head to morning assembly for welcome, message, worship, and fun updates! Campers are released to play sports, then a short snack break mid-day & huddle, then back to sports. First sport session will be instruction/drills, second sport clinic will be competitive scrimmage and/or tournament time. We close with fun assembly time where campers hear from special guests!

  • There is a playground area next door at the PB Rec Center. This is a perfect place to hang if you have other younger children! Parents are welcome to help if you want to volunteer for the week!

  • We group campers with other campers their age. Depending on number of campers, we may put two age groups together. 

  • We group children by ages, but if you let us know enough in advance, you can request your child to be with their friend. We can’t guarantee that this will happen, but we will keep it in mind and do what we can to accommodate.

  • Good question! This camp is both! We provide top-notch instruction during sports clinics/ competitions AND quality Biblical teaching each day. Since we are opening camp to younger athletes (5/6 years) we will incorporate playground time at adjacent PB Recreation Center.

  • Friday is FIELD DAY! Campers will play field games and do a special service project!

  • Yes! We want every family to send their kids to camp without feeling stressed about the cost. Please email us for the scholarship form.

  • Yes! We can give a full refund up until June 1st, minus a $50 cancelation fee. If you must cancel after June 1st OR during camp, we are unable to provide a refund. However, we can credit you for next year.

  • Yes! You can get $10 credit on your first friend referral! Simply register your child and have them register theirs and mention you name in the “How did you hear about camp” section.

  • Yes! Get $25/sibling off when you register. Please email us for the discount code. Make sure to hit the orange “Apply” button to apply the discount before going to the next page.
